Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Chieti and 9th ranked Omegna had identical 9-9 record. This time Chieti used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Omegna 82-76 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 46-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (208-91, agency: Two Points) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chieti (10-9) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tortona. Loser Omegna keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Chieti will face league's second-placed Treviso Basket on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Omegna will play against Naturhouse Ferrara (#4) and hope to win that game.
