Very predictable result in Mikawa where second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (25-5) outscored 7th ranked Oita Heat Devils (10-20) 87-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Oita Heat Devils were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. American guard Demetri McCamey (191-89, college: Illinois) produced 27 points and his fellow American import center Todd O'Brien (213-89, college: UAB) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests.
