There was no surprise when 9th ranked Tczew (3-13) was crushed at home by sixth ranked SMS PZKosz (8-9) 95-74 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-74. SMS PZKosz dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Tczew's 32. SMS PZKosz forced 23 Tczew turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Dominik Olejniczak (207-96) fired 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Mariusz Konopatzki (192-96) chipped in 12 points, 6 assists and 7 steals. Four SMS PZKosz players scored in double figures. Guard Daniel Syldatk (190-84) produced 31 points and center Pawel Samujlo (202-82) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SMS PZKosz maintains sixth place in Group A with 8-9 record. Tczew lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
