No shocking result in a game when third ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (11-6) defeated at home 9th ranked Bnei Hasharon (6-11) 89-71. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Jerusalem. Bnei Hasharon was better in third quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Jerusalem players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bnei Hasharon's players. American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) nailed 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and the former international Yotam Halperin (195-84) accounted for 24 points and 6 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Hapoel Jerusalem's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Julian Wright (203-87, college: Kansas, agency: Alti Sport) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import point guard Josh Selby (188-91, college: Kansas) added 20 points respectively for Bnei Hasharon in the defeat. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem moved-up to second place. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv and hope to win that game.
