Very expected game when 8th ranked Gunma (9-19) was defeated on the road by second ranked Iwate Big Bulls (25-5) 95-85 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Iwate Big Bulls. Gunma was better in third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Iwate Big Bulls won last quarter 32-23. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Shota Onodera who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
