Regular Season Round 19: Recanati - Roseto 84-70

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Recanati (11-8) defeated at home 13th ranked Roseto (7-12) 84-70 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Recanati's pressure prevailed and they won that period 33-21 extending their advantage to 14 points. Roseto was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Isaiah Sykes (198-91, college: Cent.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import center William Mosley (202-89, college: Northwestern St.) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the losing side Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (189-85, college: Warner Pacific, agency: Interperformances) responded with 16 points and swingman Pierpaolo Marini (192-93) scored 16 points. Five Recanati and four Roseto players scored in double figures. Recanati moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ferrara and Reggio Calabr. Loser Roseto keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Recanati will face league's leader Ravenna on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roseto will play against Piacentina (#16) and hope to win that game.
