Regular Season Round 19: Agrigento - Novipiu Casale 64-57

There was an upset when higher ranked Novipiu Casale (10-8) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Agrigento (8-10) 64-57 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Novipiu Casale won fourth quarter 14-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Agrigento made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They also forced 19 Novipiu Casale turnovers. American power forward Dave Dudzinski (206-92, college: Holy Cross, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Pendarvis Williams (198-91, college: Norfolk St.) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals. The former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (202-89) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St.) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Agrigento moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Sigma BRC and Givova Napoli. Loser Novipiu Casale dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Agrigento will face Givova Napoli (#9) on the road in the next round.
