The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers' (12-11) road victory over 6th ranked Kings (9-13) 105-86 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Adelaide 36ers. Kings was better in fourth quarter 30-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Adelaide 36ers outrebounded Kings 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Adelaide 36ers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. Adelaide 36ers' coach Joey Wright used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side international swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: GRU) responded with 24 points and forward Tom Garlepp (203-86, college: UCSB) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Kings players scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Kings keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Adelaide 36ers will face Townsville Crocodiles (#7) in Wulguru in the next round. Kings will play on the road against Perth Wildcats and hope to win that game.
