WNBL top team - Townsville Fire (14-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Sydney Uni Flames (9-9) 93-60. The game without a history. Townsville Fire led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sydney Uni Flames' 30. Townsville Fire forced 20 Sydney Uni Flames turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The former international center Cayla Francis (192-89) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and New Zealand-American forward Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford, agency: Players Group) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Guard Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Tahlia Tupaea (174-97) scored 11 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Townsville Fire have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-3 record. Sydney Uni Flames at the other side keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Bulleen B..
