Regular Season Round 17: Hapoel Eilat - Maccabi Rishon 80-62

An interesting game where host Hapoel Eilat (#7) won against 4th placed Maccabi Rishon with 18-point difference 80-62 on Monday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Eilat. Maccabi Rishon managed to win fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Eilat maintains seventh place with 8-9 record, which they share with Maccabi Haifa. Loser Maccabi Rishon dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hapoel Eilat will meet higher ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maccabi Rishon will play against Ironi Nahariya and hope to secure a win.
