A1 top team - Olympiacos (13-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Apollon Patras (6-8) 67-56. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Apollon Patras was better in fourth quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: Beo Basket) notched 10 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and the former international Georgios Printezis (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 12 points. Even 21 points by American swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: KMG Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Apollon Patras. Center Gaios Skordilis (207-87) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Apollon Patras at the other side dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost.
