D1 top team - Maccabi Ashdod (15-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they beat tenth ranked Elitzur Netanya (2-13) 71-53. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Maccabi Ashdod's pressure prevailed and they won that period 31-18 extending their advantage to 18 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Elitzur Netanya to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Elitzur Netanya 44-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Maccabi Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a quality performance for naturalized American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists.
