Round 15 most important game was a victory of Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion over 6th ranked ASA Jerusalem 66-62 on Monday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-14. But ASA Jerusalem won second period 11-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Chelsea Gray (180-92, college: Duke) who led her team to a victory with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Alexis Hornbuckle (180-85, college: Tennessee) contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Ashley Shields (180-85, college: SW Tenn.St.CC) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and guard Courtney Clements (183-89, college: San Diego St.) added 21 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for ASA Jerusalem. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion maintains fifth place with 7-8 record, which they share with Ramat Hasharon. Newly promoted ASA Jerusalem dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion is looking forward to face league's leader Maccabi Ashdod at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ASA Jerusalem will play against Bnot Hertzeliya (#4) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
