The game in Minsk was also quite interesting. 4th placed Borisfen (9-6) played at the court of sixth ranked BGU Minsk (6-9). BGU Minsk defeated Borisfen 85-69 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Borisfen. The game without a history. BGU Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BGU Minsk forced 19 Borisfen turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. Cuban forward Darol Hernandez (206-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Artem Kozlov (194-90) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. Four BGU Minsk players scored in double figures. BGU Minsk's coach Dmitri Novitzky used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian center Maksym Kozlovets (205-90) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Evgeni Sugonyako (199-92) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted BGU Minsk maintains sixth place with 6-9 record. Loser Borisfen keeps the fourth position with six games lost. BGU Minsk's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk Tsmoki II.
