Everything went according to plan in Belo Horizonte where fifth ranked Minas (12-6) outleveled 15th ranked SKY/Basquete (3-14) 90-63 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Minas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Minas outrebounded SKY/Basquete 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Alex Oliveira (196-83) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Henrique Coelho (183-93) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Tiago Lima (201-81) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and Paraguayan center Guillermo Araujo (204-82) added 16 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Minas moved-up to third place, which they share with Mogi das Cruzes. SKY/Basquete lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Minas will face Brasilia (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SKY/Basquete will play against Unitri in Uberlandia and hope to win that game.
