Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Beirut: Sagesse (#1) and Homenetm. B (#4). Sagesse (7-2) crushed visiting Homenetm. B (4-5) by 27 points 106-79. The game without a history. Sagesse led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sagesse outrebounded Homenetm. B 42-31 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 5 assists. The former international swingman Elie Roustom (197-87) contributed with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Sagesse's coach Fuad Abou Chakra felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Joseph Vogel (211-73, college: Colorado St.) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Homenetm. B. Four Homenetm. B players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Sagesse went down to second position due to points difference. Homenetm. B at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Tadamon and Champville. Sagesse will play against UBA (#3) in Byblos in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Homenetm. B will play at home against Champville and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
