Regular Season Round 18: Uberlandia - Brasilia 91-74
Date: January 27, 2015
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Uberlandia where thirteenth ranked Unitri (6-11) beat 12th ranked Brasilia (6-12) 91-74 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Unitri. Brasilia was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Unitri dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Brasilia's 24. The best player for the winners was the former international Luis Felipe Gruber (206-85) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Audrei Parisotto (196-84) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Kyle Lamonte (191-84, college: William Carey) added 16 points respectively. Five Unitri and four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unitri moved-up to twelfth place. Brasilia at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Unitri will face SKY/Basquete (#15) in Aldeota in the next round. Brasilia will play on the road against Minas where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
