Haukar (#4) was upset in Hamar by seventh ranked Hamar 65-61. Haukar was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 18-9 charge of Hamar, which allowed them to win the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. The winners were led by American swingman Sydnei Moss (178-88, college: Co.Carolina) who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and center Salbjorg Saevarsdottir (182-91) supported her with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 8 blocks. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by Sylvia Run Halfdanardottir (-98) did not help to save the game for Haukar. Forward Dagbjoert Samuelsdottir (178-93) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Hamar (4-14) moved-up to sixth place. Haukar lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Hamar will play against KR (#7) in Reykjavik in the next round. Haukar will play against Breidablik and hopes to get back on the winning track.
