Regular Season Round 36: Zhejiang CB - DongGuan L. 109-114

Not a big story in a game in Hangzhou where 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (11-25) was defeated by eighth ranked DongGuan Leopards (24-12) 114-109. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. DongGuan Leopards made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory with 42 points (!!!) and 5 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards' coach Brian Goorjian allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) replied with 42 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Charles Gaines (201-81, college: S.Mississippi) added 26 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. DongGuan Leopards maintains eighth position with 24-12 record, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with 25 games lost. DongGuan Leopards' next round opponent will be higher ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#6) in Hangzhou and it may be quite challenging game. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play at home against the league's leader Guandong Tigers (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
