Regular Season Round 36: Sichuan BW - Shanghai S. 111-100

An interesting game took place in Sichuan where higher ranked Shanghai Sharks (15-21) were upset on the court of eighteenth ranked Sichuan BW (7-29) 111-100 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 13 points at the halftime before their 68-44 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sichuan BW made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Shanghai Sharks turnovers. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) who scored 56 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sichuan BW's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import power forward Bernard James (208-85, college: Florida St.) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sichuan BW maintains eighteenth position with 7-29 record. Shanghai Sharks lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 21 games lost. Sichuan BW will meet bottom-ranked Chongqing FD (#20) in the next round. Shanghai Sharks will play against Bayi Rockets (#19) and hope to secure a win.
