Regular Season Round 36: TianJin S. - Jilin NE T. 112-129

Very expected game in Tianjin where 13th ranked TianJin Steel (13-23) was defeated by seventh ranked Jilin Tigers (25-11) 129-112. The game was mostly controlled by Jilin Tigers. TianJin Steel was better in fourth quarter 29-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jilin Tigers forced 19 TianJin Steel turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with 38 points (!!!), 5 assists and 7 steals. The other American import power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and swingman Zhihan Zhang (198-91) added 21 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TianJin Steel. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jilin Tigers have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. and Guangsha L. TianJin Steel at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 23 games lost. Jilin Tigers' next round opponent will be Jiangsu TX (#16) at home which should be an easy win for them. TianJin Steel will play against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
