Regular Season Round 15: Njardvik - Tindastoll 107-99 OT

Njardvik (9-6) survived in overtime against Tindastoll (11-4) by eight points 107-99. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-13 Tindastoll's run in the last quarter tied the game, leading to overtime which they eventually won 19-11. Njardvik made 26-of-30 charity shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Tindastoll helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Stefan Bonneau (177-87, college: LIU Post) who led the winners and scored 44 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 8 assists (went 18 for 18 at the free throw line !!!). The former international Logi Gunnarsson (190-81) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Myron Dempsey (203-91, college: Paul Quinn) added 20 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Tindastoll in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Njardvik have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Stjarnan. Newly promoted Tindastoll keeps the second position with four games lost. Njardvik's next round opponent will be Keflavik (#5) on the road. Tindastoll will play against IR and hope to win that game.
