An interesting game for Toshiba Thunders (19-9) which hosted in Kanagawa 4th ranked Chiba Jets (16-13). Second ranked Toshiba Thunders had an easy win 82-67. The game was mostly controlled by Toshiba Thunders. Chiba Jets was better in second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who scored 31 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Fumio Nishimura (177-86) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 19-9 record having just -22 point less than leader Hitachi SR, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
