There was a minor upset when bottom-ranked Tsukuba R. (0-27) lost at home to sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (7-23) 70-60 on Friday. The game without a history. Hokkaido L. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. The former international center Fumihiko Aono (210-78) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) replied with 8 points and 13 rebounds and center Keisuke Umetsu (196-86) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tsukuba R.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
