Regular Season Round 29: Uppsala - Norrkoping 75-66

There was a change at the Basketligan leadership position after last games. Round 29 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Norrkoping Dolphins (17-7). They were defeated by sixth ranked Uppsala Basket (16-8) 75-66 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-66. Uppsala Basket forced 22 Norrkoping Dolphins turnovers. American point guard Thomas Jackson (175-80, college: Butler, agency: 011 Sports) stepped up and scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Oluoma Nnamaka (201-78, college: Marquette) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Uppsala Basket players scored in double figures. The former international center Joakim Kjellbom (212-79, college: N.Arizona) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Croatian guard Toni Prostran (181-91) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Uppsala Basket moved-up to fifth place. Norrkoping Dolphins at the other side dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sodertalje. Norrkoping Dolphins will play next round against league's leader Sodertalje Kings trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Uppsala Basket will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Solna Vikings on the road.
