Tenth-ranked Eco Orebro (4-20) gave a tough game to eighth ranked Nassjo (8-16) on Friday. Nassjo managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected easier game. Eco Orebro cut a 14-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Nassjo forced 21 Eco Orebro turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Wictor Grenthe (203-87) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Nassjo's coach Nemanja Jovanovic used entire bench in such tough game. Hungarian power forward Miklos Szabo (204-86, college: Hofstra, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) produced 8 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Sean Smith (198-87, college: NC-Asheville) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nassjo maintains eighth place with 8-16 record, which they share with Umea. Eco Orebro lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 20 games lost. Nassjo will meet higher ranked Boras Basket (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eco Orebro will play against Sundsvall Dragons (#4) and hope to secure a win.
