The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Nitra's (3-27) road loss to ninth ranked Levice (10-20) 75-86 on Saturday. The game without a history. Levice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 24 Nitra turnovers. It was a great evening for Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Maurizio Galata (203-92) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side the former international Roman Vido (204-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and point guard Jakub Novysedlak (189-93) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Levice maintains ninth place with 10-20 record. Nitra lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Levice will meet higher ranked Nova Ves (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nitra will play against Inter Bratislava and hope to secure a win.
