Second Stage Round 6: Impuls BGUIR - Dynamo Polotsk 86-48

An interesting game for Impuls BGUIR (10-7) which hosted in Minsk 4th ranked Dynamo Polotsk (4-12). First ranked Impuls BGUIR had an easy win 86-48. The game was mostly controlled by Impuls BGUIR. Dynamo Polotsk was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dynamo Polotsk to just 6 points in second quarter. Impuls BGUIR forced 28 Dynamo Polotsk turnovers. The best player for the winners was Russian guard Alexander Matveev (190-91) who scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Henadziy Zahar (198-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals. Four Impuls BGUIR players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was center Yauheni Skrypkau (207-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds and forward Yauheni Mikhailovskiy (191-89) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Impuls BGUIR maintains first position in League with 10-7 record. Newly promoted Dynamo Polotsk keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
