Regular Season Round 15: Proleter Naftagas - Sloboda Uzice 86-71

Everything went according to plan in Zrenjanin where eighth ranked Proleter Naftagas (8-7) beat 10th ranked Sloboda (6-9) 86-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Proleter Naftagas. Sloboda managed to win fourth quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Proleter Naftagas made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Sloboda turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Stefan Atanackovic (196-84, agency: 011 Sports) who scored 19 points and 5 assists. Guard Djordje Bozovic (188) chipped in 21 points. Four Proleter Naftagas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Miroslav Pasajlic who recorded 22 points and Milan Nikolic added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Proleter Naftagas maintains eighth place with 8-7 record. Sloboda lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Plana. Proleter Naftagas will meet higher ranked Zdravlje (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sloboda will play against the league's second-placed Beovuk 72 where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
