The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 23-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Torpan Pojat forced 22 ViVe turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Niina Laaksonen (185-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. International forward Dionne Pounds (174-84, college: Lamar, agency: Regeneracom Sports) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Torpan Pojat's coach Kari-Pekka Klinga used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Breanna Salley (180-87, college: Seattle) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Two Points) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively for ViVe in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Torpan Pojat. They moved-up to third place. ViVe lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with FoA. Torpan Pojat will meet at home league's leader Catz Lappeenranta in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ViVe will play against the league's second-placed Aanekosken (#2) in Aanekoski and hope to secure a win.
