Regular Season Round 16: Froya Basket - Baerum Basket 69-71

Seventh-ranked Froya Basket (4-10) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Baerum Basket (9-5) in Laksevag on Saturday. The visitors from Bekkestua managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 41-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Johannes Dolven (200-96) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 17 rebounds. Point guard Harald Frey (182-97) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. American power forward Peter Bullock (198-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and guard Adrian Schonning (190-93) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Froya Basket. Baerum Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Baerum Basket went down to fourth position due to points difference. Froya Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with Centrum. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face Ammerud Bskt (#5) in Oslo in the next round. Froya Basket will play at home against Asker Aliens and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
