Regular Season Round 19: Nancy - Gravelines 67-61
Date: January 31, 2015
Very expected game when 12th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (8-11) lost on the road to sixth ranked Sluc Nancy (11-8) 67-61 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gravelines-Dunkerque was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-14 charge of Sluc Nancy, which allowed them to win the game. Sluc Nancy outrebounded Gravelines-Dunkerque 41-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American power forward Randal Falker (202-85, college: S.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, agency: Comsport) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Sluc Nancy's coach Alain Weisz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international point guard Andrew Albicy (178-90) answered with 14 points and 6 assists and American power forward J.K. Edwards (202-82, college: UNLV) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Gravelines-Dunkerque. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fifth place. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Sluc Nancy will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
