There was no surprise when 8th ranked ALM Evreux (9-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Boulazac Basket (12-5) 66-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. ALM Evreux was better in third quarter 12-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Mickael Var (205-90) who recorded 6 points and 12 rebounds and American center Gene Teague (200-89, college: Seton Hall) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Boulazac Basket moved-up to second place, which they share with Monaco. Loser ALM Evreux keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Boulazac Basket will face Chorale de Roanne (#6) on the road in the next round. ALM Evreux will play against Saint-Quentin and hope to win that game.
