An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rijeka. First ranked Kvarner faced 3rd ranked Alkar Sinj. Host Kvarner (11-3) smashed guests from Sinj (9-6) 90-68. The game without a history. Kvarner led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kvarner forced 22 Alkar Sinj turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Forward Dino Cinac (201-88, agency: Court Side) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ivan Milicevic (204-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Kvarner players scored in double figures. Bosnian center Mato Peraica (205-81) produced 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Toni Vitali (203-91) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kvarner have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-3 record. Alkar Sinj at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Kvarner are looking forward to face league's second-placed GKK Sibenik on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alkar Sinj will play against Slavonski Brod and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
