Second Stage Round 4: 08 - IK Eos 78-74

Very expected game when 8th ranked IK Eos (2-3) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked 08 Stockholm (4-3) 78-74 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But IK Eos won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. IK Eos were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jean Guede (200-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and forward Adrian Thorangen (195-93, college: Cuesta JC) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Gustav Nystrom (190-89, college: Hope) responded with 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and center David Hult (204-89) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. IK Eos' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. 08 Stockholm moved-up to second place in Superettan. Loser IK Eos keep the eighth position with three games lost. 08 Stockholm will have a break next round. IK Eos will play at home against the league's leader Malbas (#1) and hope to win that game.
