Regular Season Round 16: Norrkoping - Sallen 75-67

Date: January 31, 2015
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sallen (11-5) against fifth ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (9-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Sallen was defeated by Norrkoping Dolphins in a tough game in Norrkoping 67-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sallen won third quarter 21-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by the former international guard Johanna Kallman (172-87) who scored that evening 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international swingman Tanya Massamba (182-91) supported her with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Even 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by Serbian Dajana Butulija (176-86, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Sallen. American swingman Christy Bacon (182-80, college: Wyoming) added 17 points for lost side. Norrkoping Dolphins have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Alvik Basket. Loser Sallen keeps the third position with five games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will meet at home Akropol (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Sallen will play against IK Eos (#8) in Lund and hope to secure a win.
