The game with biggest result difference took place in Cancun. Local Pioneros (24-8) outscored 13th ranked Gansos (9-26) 131-91. The game without a history. Pioneros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 65.4 percent from the field. Pioneros shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Gansos' players. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 assists. American-Puerto Rican point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Pioneros players scored in double figures. American guard Harrison Smith (190-87, college: Texas Southern) replied with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Elite Talent Exchange) added 21 points in the effort for Gansos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pioneros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 24-8 record having four points less than leader Halc.Rojos. Gansos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 26 games lost. Pioneros will play against Abejas (#5) in Guanajuato in the next round. Gansos will have a break next round.
