The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Mark Basket outrebounded Telge 45-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and forward Elin Ljunggren (184-96) supported her with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Mark Basket's coach Frank Alm used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by the former international guard Josefin Olheim (176-86) did not help to save the game for Telge. American forward Jeanise Randolph (188-91, college: Cincinnati) added 10 points for lost side. Mark Basket maintains sixth position with 9-7 record. Loser Telge keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Mark Basket will meet at home league's second-placed Umea in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Telge will play against Alvik Basket (#4) in Stockholm and hope to secure a win.
