Regular Season Round 27: Tochigi Brex - Hiroshima D. 84-74

The game between Top Four teams took place in Tochigi. Second ranked host Tochigi Brex (20-9) defeated 3rd placed Dragonflies (14-12) 84-74. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tochigi Brex made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and Senegalese center Pape Faye (200-87) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Tochigi Brex maintains second place with 20-9 record having one point less than leader Wakayama T. Newly promoted Dragonflies keep the third position with 12 games lost. Tochigi Brex will meet league's leader Wakayama T. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragonflies will play against Hokkaido L. and hope to secure a win.
