Regular Season Round 21: Haneda Vickies - Chanson V-M 59-97

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 20th consecutive match to fifth ranked Chanson V-M (13-5) 97-59. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Haneda Vickies was better in third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chanson V-M dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 26. Chanson V-M had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Chanson V-M brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The former international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners and swingman Key Miho (176-85) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chanson V-M maintains fifth place with 13-5 record. Chanson V-M will play against league's second-placed Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
