The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Treviso Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Treviso Basket edged 7th ranked Chieti at home 62-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chieti. Chieti was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 19-10 charge of Treviso Basket, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas) who scored 7 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Matteo Fantinelli (195-93) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Chieti at the other side dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Aget Service IM. Chieti will play next round against Recanati trying to get back on the winning streak. Treviso Basket will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Latina Basket on the road.
