Regular Season Round 27: Wakayama T. - Aishin SH 68-86

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Wakayama T. (4-22) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Aishin Sea Horses (24-2) 86-68. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for the former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Swingman Shuhei Kitagawa (185-85) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Daiki Terashita (190-80) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-2 record which they share with defeated Wakayama T. Wakayama T. lost ninth consecutive game. They still keep top position with 22 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses are looking forward to face Toshiba Thunders (#3) in Kanagawa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wakayama T. will play at home against the league's second-placed Tochigi Brex and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
