Very important is a road loss of third ranked FIATC Joventut (14-5) against thirteenth ranked Asefa Estudiantes (8-11) on Sunday night. Visiting FIATC Joventut was edged by Asefa Estudiantes in a tough game in Madrid 75-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of FIATC Joventut. FIATC Joventut was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 44-39 second half run of Asefa Estudiantes. They made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Asefa Estudiantes maintains thirteenth place with 8-11 record. FIATC Joventut at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Bilbao Basket. Asefa Estudiantes will play against higher ranked UCAM Murcia (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FIATC Joventut will play against the league's leader Unicaja Malaga (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
