The game in Akureyri was also quite interesting. Second ranked FSU (10-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Thor AK (1-11). FSU defeated Thor AK 89-74 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by FSU. Thor AK managed to win third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Collin Pryor (198, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Ari Gylfason (186-89) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Frisco Sandidge (198-87, college: Delaware St.) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and point guard Einar Eyjolfsson (178-94) added 21 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. FSU maintains second position with 10-3 record having seven points less than leader Hottur. Loser Thor AK stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. FSU will meet at home KFI (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Thor AK will play against the league's leader Hottur in Egilsstadir and hope to win that game.
