There was no surprise in Taiyuan where 18th ranked Sichuan BW (8-30) was defeated by seventh ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (27-11) 117-110. Sichuan BW was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 75-62 second half run of Shanxi Zhongyu. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Sichuan BW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Von Wafer (196-85, college: Florida St.) notched 51 points (!!!) and 5 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds by Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) did not help to save the game for Sichuan BW. Center Cheng Jia (207-91) added 23 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sichuan BW's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shanxi Zhongyu have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Sichuan BW at the other side keeps the eighteenth position with 30 games lost.
