Very expected game when 13th ranked Upea CdO (6-11) lost to eighth ranked Granarolo BO (9-8) in Capo d'Orlando 63-72 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 40-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Granarolo BO outrebounded Upea CdO 43-31 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Allan Ray (188-84, college: Villanova) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) answered with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Dario Hunt (206-89, college: Nevada) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Upea CdO. Four Upea CdO players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Granarolo BO. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Dolomiti En. TR. Newly promoted Upea CdO dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Granarolo BO will face bottom-ranked Juvecaserta (#16) in Caserta in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Upea CdO will play on the road against Virtus Acea (#12) in Roma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
