Regular Season Round 38: Qingdao E. - TianJin S. 135-119

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Qingdao Eagles (28-10) won against at home 13th ranked TianJin Steel (13-25) 135-119. TianJin Steel was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Qingdao Eagles made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Qingdao Eagles outrebounded TianJin Steel 40-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) notched 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington, agency: Comsport) supported him with 38 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Even 18 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for TianJin Steel. Tian Lei added 19 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Qingdao Eagles maintains third position with 28-10 record having six points less than leader Guangdong ST. TianJin Steel lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 25 games lost.
