Regular Season Round 20: Huima - ViVe 84-69
Date: February 1, 2015
Not a big story in a game in Aanekoski where 9th ranked ViVe (6-14) was defeated by second ranked Aanekosken (15-5) 84-69. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken. ViVe was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aanekosken forced 25 ViVe turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by power forward Chandra Harris (186-89, college: Georgia St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and guard Michaela Michaela Houser (170-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Aanekosken players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by forward Breanna Salley (180-87, college: Seattle) did not help to save the game for ViVe. Swingman Korinne Campbell (182-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Two Points) added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. ViVe's coach Jukka-Pekka Kujala rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aanekosken have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-5 record having just three points less than leader Catz. ViVe lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 14 games lost. Aanekosken will play against league's leader Catz Lappeenranta on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ViVe will play against Tapiolan Honka (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
