Regular Season Round 20: FoA - TuRi 87-75

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Forssan Alku (7-13) defeated at home bottom-ranked TuRi (2-18) 87-75. The game was mostly controlled by Forssan Alku. TuRi was better in fourth quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Forssan Alku especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by guard Sarah Hansen (178-91, college: FGCU) who scored that evening 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Brittany Kennedy (170, college: FGCU) supported her with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 4 assists by guard Shafontaye Myers (173-92, college: Alabama) did not help to save the game for TuRi. Guard Amber Moore (180-90, college: Illinois) added 19 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forssan Alku have a solid three-game winning streak. Forssan Alku moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Honka. TuRi lost sixteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Forssan Alku will play against higher ranked HyPo (#5) in Hyvinkaa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TuRi will play on the road against Pyrinto (#6) in Tampere and hopes to get back on the winning track.
