Regular Season Round 37: Gansos - Soles 84-121

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Soles (26-10) outplayed 13th ranked Gansos (9-27) in Ciudad de Mexico 121-84 on Monday. The game without a history. Soles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Gansos' 48. They outrebounded Gansos 42-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Soles looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Gansos' players. It was a very good performance for international Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Soles players scored in double figures. American guard Harrison Smith (190-87, college: Texas Southern) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and Christopher Duran added 27 points in the effort for Gansos. Gansos' coach Luis Andres Garcia gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Soles moved-up to second place. Gansos lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 27 games lost. Soles will have a break next round. Gansos will play again at home against the league's second-placed Soles (#2) and hope to win that game.
